*6th Camp – Successful Completion of Free Surgical Camp for Congenital Cleft Lip, Palate, Gum, and Rhinoplasty* On March 26, 2025, under the initiative and management of Spiritualists’ Sports and Adventures Club (SSAC), Anandanagar, in collaboration with the international organization "Operation Smile", the 6th free surgical camp for the correction of congenital cleft lip, cleft palate, gum deformities, and nasal reconstruction was successfully conducted. This noble initiative took place at the Anandamarga School in Bundu Balading, Ranchi District, with the objective of restoring affected individuals—both children and adults—to a healthy and normal life. *Key Highlights and Facilities of the Camp* 1. A total of 11 specially-abled individuals participated in the camp. 2. Among them, 6 patients—who were over six months of age and had the required body weight—were selected for surgery. 3. Two infants, below six months of age and underweight, were deemed ineligible for surgery due to health considerations. 4. Those unfit for immediate surgery were provided with nutritious food free of cost, ensuring their health improves to meet surgical criteria in the future. 5. For each selected patient, the entire cost of travel, accommodation, meals, and surgery at the Durgapur Operation Center was covered by the organization, including provisions for two accompanying family members or caregivers. 6. Additionally, post-surgical follow-ups and health check-ups were conducted for individuals who had undergone similar procedures in the past. This compassionate initiative has brought smiles to many faces and remains committed to extending its support to more individuals in the future.
